Your responsibility
You may annotate only material you are permitted to access and must provide accurate source credit, original commentary, and a good-faith fair-use attestation. Do not evade paywalls, DRM, authentication, robots restrictions, or technical access controls.
Community conduct
Do not harass, impersonate, expose private information, manipulate votes, automate abuse, or use comments and mentions to spam. Authors cannot vote on their own annotations, and each account has at most one vote per annotation.
Moderation
Annotated may restrict media, remove content, suspend interactions, or close accounts to address claims, unlawful content, safety threats, repeat abuse, and platform integrity. Actions are documented in moderation and audit records.
Availability
Media sources and provider integrations can change or become unavailable. When a source can no longer be safely rendered, Annotated may preserve attribution and commentary while disabling the excerpt.
